Wandering The Pilbara
Red Dog 4WD Club Committee Meeting
The first meeting of the new committee is due to be held at the RSL club Wednesday 16/05 from 7:30PM. All welcome to attend.
Welcome to the Red Dog 4Wheel Drive Club.
It doesn’t matter what level of experience you may have in four wheel driving, everyone is welcome to participate in Red Dog 4WD Club activities and is invited to join the Red Dog 4WD club as a member.
The Red Dog 4 Wheel Drive Club has been operating for 25 plus years and was named after a remarkable dog named ** RED DOG ** and his reputation for wandering the Pilbara. Red Dog became a real character throughout the Pilbara during his life time. He was known to have travelled to Roebourne, Point Samson, Port Hedland, Broome, Tom Price and even made his way down to Perth. His amazing homing instinct saw him always returning to Karratha or Dampier.
The Red Dog 4WD Club provides a means for people, especially families interested in four wheel driving to meet with each other and to explore the harsh and beautiful Pilbara in safety.
The Red Dog 4wd Club organises day trips, sundowners, weekends away, camping trips and normally an extended annual trip. We also have social events like the Christmas party and the annual John Smith Memorial cook out. John Smith was the founder of the Red Dog 4wd Club.
Our club motto is * Wandering the Pilbara *, and I am sure you will find that time spent with the Red Dog 4WD Club exploring the Pilbara will be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
While having a good time, we promote the protection, appreciation and safe use of the environment.
The Red Dog 4WD Club supports Trackcare, a voluntary organization connected with the 4 wheel drive association that strives to maintain access to off road tracks throughout WA.
Once again, welcome to the Red Dog 4WD Club and along with all its members I look forward to meeting you at our next Red Dog 4WD Club activity.
